Ticket Groups

Ticket groups allow you to display similar ticket types together to simplify the ticket selection experience at checkout. Ticket types can be added directly to ticket groups which shows an expandable group at checkout to reveal grouped tickets.

This article covers:

Creating a Ticket Group

To create a ticket group, go to Edit Tickets & Merch > Ticket Types and select Add Ticket Group. Then, set your ticket group name, description (optional), and display option.

Warning: Ticket groups are live immediately after creation and will act as separators if ticket types are not added to individual groups. It's recommended to build out ticket groups prior to going live with ticket sales. Once a group is created, ticket types can be dragged into each group to nest them in a collapsible group at checkout.

Managing Ticket Groups

To add tickets to a group, click and drag the ticket type inside of the group. Then select Save Changes at the bottom of the ticket type list.

Similarly, you can remove a ticket type from a group by dragging it outside of the group.

Once a ticket group has been created, you can edit the ticket group settings by selecting Edit. To delete a ticket group, select the trash icon. When a ticket group is deleted, the tickets in the group will be moved outside the group and maintained.

How Ticket Groups Display

On your tickets page, tickets within the same group will be displayed together in a sub-section. If your ticket group display setting is set to expanded, all tickets in the group will be displayed by default on page load. If the group is collapsed, tickets will not be displayed until the group is selected and expanded.

If you do not include any tickets in the group, the group will still be displayed. You can use empty ticket groups as separators or a way to provide additional information to attendees.

Ticket Group Restrictions

Ticket groups are not compatible with access code restricted tickets, seated tickets, or timed entry events. Additionally, ticket groups are not currently compatible with the tickets page iFrame. If you have questions about whether ticket groups are right for your event, reach out to your account rep to discuss options.
