Ticket Settings

Ticket Settings lets you customize overall ticket settings for your event for things like overall attendee limit, product name (ie registrations instead of tickets), post-purchase ticket details and more.

If you need to customize specific ticket type settings, check out basic ticket types settings or advanced ticket type settings

Ticket Settings

To access Ticket Settings, click on "Edit Tickets & Merch" > "Ticket Settings".

  • Are tickets enabled on this event? Turns tickets on and off entirely for your event. Turning off tickets removes the "Get Tickets" call to action button from the event details page and doesn't allow attendees to get to the tickets page.
  • Overall Capacity/Attendee Limit: The total number of attendees allowed for the entire event. Even if your individual ticket type limit allows more, once this number is hit, the event will no longer show tickets available for sale. Use “0” for unlimited.
  • Attendance Wait List:  When your event reaches the Overall Capacity/Attendance Limit, customers will be able to place wait list requests.
    • The wait list is only activated once the Overall Capacity/Attendance Limit is hit (not by hitting individual ticket type limits).
    • Customers can reserve ticket(s) but are not yet charged for them. You can manage the wait list under "Manage Attendees" > "Manage Wait List" by releasing tickets to people on the wait list.
  • Default Ticket Type Description Display: Sets the default display for ticket type descriptions on all ticket types. You can choose to show the full description, show only a truncated version, or show just a “more info” button. You can override this setting on the individual ticket type settings.
  • Ticket Purchase View Display: Allows you to change how the ticket types are displayed on the Buy Tickets page.
    • Standard: List of Ticket Types: (Default) Lists your ticket types as a standard list on the tickets page.
    • Compact: Dropdown of Ticket Types: Displays your ticket types as a dropdown rather than a list. Compact view is a good option for events with date selection as the ticket type or events with a long list of ticket types.
  • Product Name: If you are selling something other than “Tickets” (RSVP, Deals, Coupons, etc) you can change the name of the product from “Tickets” to this new name. This will update how this product is shown to customers and throughout the ticketing platform on this event.
  • Merchandise Name: Similar to Product Name, but changes how merchandise is referred to for your customers and throughout the ticketing platform on this event.
  • Auto-Tear Tickets Purchased Via App: Automatically marks tickets as redeemed when they're sold through the mobile app. Most commonly used when there is not a separate box office further away from the main entrance of the event.

Post-Purchase Ticket Settings

  • Post-Purchase Ticket Details: Any ticket details relevant for all tickets that you would like customers to know after placing an order (ie: pick up times, registration information, etc). This displays on the order confirmation page and optionally on the PDF tickets (set on the individual ticket type).
  • Post-Purchase Ticket Disclaimer: Any disclaimer information relevant for all tickets you want customers to see after placing an order. This displays on the order confirmation page and optionally on the PDF tickets (set on the individual ticket type).
  • User Edit Permission: Toggle on to allow customers to edit specific ticket type information after their purchase.

PDF and Delivery Settings

  • Send PDF Tickets: Sends PDF tickets after purchasing to the customer. If not, it will still send the "Tickets" email with links to mobile tickets (if mobile tickets are enabled).
  • Send Mobile Tickets: Includes a link to mobile tickets in the order confirmation email, tickets email, and enables the ability to text the mobile ticket link.
  • Include Price on PDF Tickets: Whether or not to include prices on PDF tickets.
  • Non-Ticket Check In: You can opt to have an event that does not utilize tickets at all. Users will not receive the "Your Tickets!" email, nor links to mobile tickets. This is often used when an alternate check-in solution is being utilized like RFID wristbands.
  • Group PDF Tickets: Turn on to send tickets in groups of 10 PDFs instead of individually attached PDF tickets.
  • Include Comped Resale Value Disclaimer: Include a message that comped tickets do not have a resale value on the PDF tickets.
  • Display Ticket Delivery Options: By default, all tickets are sent via email (both PDF and mobile tickets). If you need to offer mail delivery or will call pick up, use these delivery settings. Learn more
