Refund Protection
Refund Protection is a service available to ticket buyers that protects their order if the buyer can no longer attend for a covered reason (similar to travel insurance for flights). Refund Protection benefits event organizers because when refunds are approved for a covered reason, the event organizer keeps 100% of the funds from the order. This article covers:

How Refund Protection Works
When placing an order, ticket buyers can optionally choose to include refund protection on the order.
If a customer who purchased refund protection wants to refund their order, the request will be handled by our third party partner Booking Protect. If the refund request is approved, Booking Protect issues the payment to the buyer and the event organizer keeps 100% of the funds they have collected. A list of circumstances for a qualified Booking Protect refund is available here.
How Ticket Buyers Apply for Refunds
If a customer purchased refund protection, they can apply for a refund by returning to their order confirmation page and selecting "Submit refund application".
Alternatively, customers can submit a refund application here.
Refunding Orders with Refund Protection
If a customer purchased refund protection, it's recommended that they attempt to refund their order through Booking Protect. If they are unable to, then you can still refund their order from the Order page and the funds will be transferred back to the customer. Additionally, the Booking Protect policy can only be canceled for up to 14 days after the order is placed. If the Booking Protect policy amount is refunded to the customer after more than 14 days, the event organizer will still be responsible for that amount.
