Questionnaires

Questionnaires allow you to collect additional information from your attendees. Questionnaires are filled out when an order is placed and can be edited afterwards by both the event organizer and attendee. This article covers: 


Creating a Questionnaire

You can add a questionnaire under Edit Event > Questionnaires. Once a questionnaire is created it will be added to your tickets page when attendees are placing an order. 

The Questionnaire Type determines whether responses will be collected on a per order or per attendee basis. 


Customizing Your Questionnaire

You can choose from a variety of different questionnaire types based on the information you're collecting from your customers. The Required checkbox determines if a questionnaire response is necessary to complete an order. 

Additionally, you can customize which questions are presented to attendees based on the ticket types they've selected. To customize questionnaires by ticket type, enable Limit to Specific Ticket Types and select which types you want your question to apply to. 

If you have multiple questions you want to ask attendees, you can accomplish this by adding multiple questions to your questionnaire or creating a separate questionnaire. If all of your questions are on a per order or per attendee basis, it's recommended to use one questionnaire with multiple questions. If you would like to use a combination of per order and per attendee questions, you will need to create separate questionnaires. 


Collecting Attendee Name and Email Information

One use of questionnaires is to collect names and emails on a per attendee basis. To do this, set up a per attendee questionnaire, choose Text as the questionnaire type, and select one of the checkboxes to use the response as the attendee's name or email. 

The attendee name or email will then be recorded on the associated ticket. 


Editing Questionnaire Answers as an Event Organizer

If you want to view or edit questionnaire answers for your attendees, you can do this by going to Manage Attendees > Orders and looking up their order. Then, select Show Questionnaires to open up a menu where you can view and edit questionnaire answers. 


Editing Questionnaire Answers as an Attendee

Attendees also have the ability to update their questionnaire responses by returning to their order confirmation page. They can then select Edit Order to edit a per order questionnaire or Edit Ticket Info to edit a per attendee questionnaire. 


Customizing Your Questionnaire Options for Box Office Orders

You also have the ability to customize whether questionnaires are included when creating orders through the back end box office or when sending complimentary tickets. When editing a questionnaire, select Show Advanced Fields at the bottom of the page. You can then determine if you want to include questionnaires for back end or comp orders, as well as whether you want them to be required to complete the order.
