Easy Exchanges
Steps for Client to handle Exchanges
Please ensure all settings are enabled by your Account Manager to ensure the below steps are available.
- On an event, locate the order via Manage Attendees > Orders > Search by name or email
- Once the order is accessed, click the Exchange Ticket button under each ticket
- Select New Ticket Type
- Select New Date and New Time, if applicable
- Click Select next to the desired new ticket type
- Click Checkout Now
- Customer will be prompted to fill out their billing details if additional payment is needed for an upgrade
Steps for Ticket Buyers to handle Self-Serve Exchanges
If Easy Exchanges and the Include Exchange Link on Confirmation Email setting are both enabled on the event, there should be an exchange tickets link on the bottom of the confirmation emails attendees receive. It is noted as Exchange Tickets
Once a ticket buyer clicks Exchange Tickets the customer will see their tickets noted under Manage Order and then there is an Exchange Ticket button next to each ticket type they purchased.
Ticket buyers will then be able to select their new desired ticket, new date, and/or new time to complete the exchange under Select then Checkout Now and if additional payment is needed, they will be prompted to fill out their billing information to complete the exchange
Easy Exchange Limitations
- Only 1 Exchange per ticket allowed. After 1 exchange occurs, no other exchanges on that ticket can be made by the customer
- The settings are enabled on the overall label settings and event level settings, not applicable on an organization level
- Line Item Fees do not apply to Exchanges/Upgrades
- Service Fees and Processing Fees do apply for the difference of the ticket exchange
- A new Afterpay Application will be opened on Exchanges/Upgrades, if applicable
- No new order confirmation email will be sent for the exchanges
- For upgraded tickets, the tickets link will automatically update
- All in Pricing does not apply
- App orders are not eligible for exchanges, only online orders are eligible
- Comp orders are not eligible to be exchanged
- Seated tickets are not eligible to be exchanged
- Box Office Only tickets can be exchanged
- Ticketless ticket types are not eligible to be exchanged
